F0recast is a tool created by iH8Sn0w, the same developer behind the Windows custom IPSW creation tool Sn0wBreeze. For those of you who haven’t heard of F0recast before, it is essentially an application that will tell you detailed information about your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad when it is plugged in via USB. This includes its serial number, IMEI, ECID, whether it can be Jailbroken or not and much more.
Today iH8Sn0w has tweeted that he has updated F0recast to version 1.4.1 to fix some bugs that have been affecting some people. Often time these bugs led to F0recast crashing. iH8Snow has mentioned that this mostly affected Windows users, but the Mac OS X version was also updated with some minor improvements.
F0recast was updated to version 1.4 on Thursday to include some new features like UI changes, support for new devices like the iPhone 5 and much more. Unfortunately though the ability to check if an iPhone was factory unlocked or not was removed due to legality issues.
You can download F0recast v1.4.1 from the direct links below.

Don’t forget that if you are trying to run F0recast on Windows 8 you will need to follow this guide by clicking here. Additionally, keep in mind that for those on Mac OS X10.8 Mountain Lion, you will need to grant F0recast the ability to bypass Gatekeeper. This is done by control clicking the F0recast app and then clicking the Open option.
