Late last month, EA revealed that they will release their much-anticipated console title Need for Speed: The Run to iOS on early December. Until now we are still expeting it, however, they just announced they’ve cancelled it.
They uploaded a trailer to show off what the studio had been working on, and by the looks of it, they were working hard. This would have been a break from two years of Need for Speed Shift and SHIFT 2 Unleashed, which saw no updates in gameplay performance over the year. As posted on their Facebook page:
EA Mobile will not be launching Need for Speed: The Run on iOS. These decisions don’t come easily, but in the end our focus on fewer, bigger, better experiences necessitated that we focus resources on another exciting new Need for Speed experience for mobile users coming soon. We’ll share more about that in the coming months.
Well, at least we are gonna receive another Need for Speed, so don' t be sad, buddy!
