The 1999 cult-classic racing game Re-Volt should be hitting the App Store in the next couple of weeks, according to a tweet by the head of Big Bit Ltd Nick Baynes.
Re-Volt gained a huge following back in the day for having tight controls, interesting “big world” environments, and a host of offensive weaponry to try and help you gain the upper hand against opponents. With a few buddies over and some extra controllers Re-Volt offered heated multiplayer moments that rivaled those of the legendary Mario Kart series. If you were on PC, you could partake in online multiplayer for up to 12 players. The original game even had a level editor for creating and sharing tracks. Here's some gameplay footage from the PC version so you can get an idea of what a cool little title Re-Volt was.
Woo, I really like it. We will keep you updated.
