Samsung has showed some early iPhone designs inspired by Sony and the iPod, but court documents have revealed lots of early prototypes of iPhones and even an iPad with a kickstand. Some of the prototypes we have already seen, such as the iPad with dual dock connectors that was sold on eBay.
There are also other version of an iPad, one that features various types of kickstands and even a 16:9 model with handles on both sides. Interestingly enough, all the iPad prototypes simply have "iPod" written on the back
For the iPhone, there is an odd eight-sided version with diagonal corners. One prototype is labeled "N90" which is the same codename that was believed to be the iPhone 4, and has similar aesthetics to Apple's famous design.
