Kavinsky is a just released side-scrolling brawler by soundtrack producer of GTA 4 and developer Visionaries 777. How will it turn out look like?
First, both soundtrack and graphics will remind you about GTA, but just a littble bit, it is actually a side-scrolling brawler. You are not gonna find any sight of typical American streets.
There are only six playable levels, and two other modes. And the control based on virtual sticks, without surprise, very easy to start.
As lots of brawlers do, player should kill to the end, eliminate two or three enemies to unlock new journey. What is interesting, Kavinsky should also kill the evil polices in the journey, sounds something from GTA hmm?
You got five vascular and plenty of supplies, so don't worry lot about dying easily. COMBOs will help you accumulate energy to activate special skill, rarely awesome stuff in the game. Oh, the boss battle, kinda scary, but big guys always to be stupid, just about time to wipe out though with some tough.
There are also flappy driving sections that feel like OutRun without the joy, and bits where the game apparently wants you to take a photo of some pornography. The other two modes just like something still in developing, developers should make them better in next version.
Overall, Kavinsky is really monotonous, and it didn't contain any soundtrack of the album OutRun. Whatever, you may like to try it yourself, then you can find it on Pandaapp's download page.
