iOS kernel expert hacker pod2g has already demoed the iPad 3 jailbreak on video suggesting he achieved it on A5 and A5X devices, but he never shared any ETA - only a fuzzy saying: in couple of weeks. Finally today we got something new from his blog, which insinuates that the 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak could be publicly announced at HITB (Hack In The Box conference).

The post reads:

Europe's annual HITB Security Conference is to be the first ever gathering of the jailbreak 'dream team' to present at HITBSecConf2012 – Amsterdam on the 21th to 25th of May at the Okura Hotel, Amsterdam.

@pod2g, @pimskeks and @p0sixninja from Chronic Dev Team, along with @planetbeing and @musclenerd from iPhone Dev Team, will be presenting at the event.
