1. SimpleWiFi for Notification Center - FREE

Of all the Notification Center widgets being released into Cydia since iOS 5’s launch, this new one, dubbed SimpleWiFi for Notification Center by iOS developer Pascal, allows you to see some critical Wi-Fi information right from Notification Center including the name of your Internet access point (SSID) and your local IP address. The widget is also very small, taking up just a small amount of space and keeping your Notification Center looking as spiffy as ever.

2. Chip - $1.99

iOS 5’s Notification Center system is amazing, however wouldn’t it be cool if you could customize any application notification sound, the color of your banners, and have the ability to set custom animations for when the banners appear on your screen? Now that idea is a reality with a new jailbreak tweak dubbed Chip by iOS developers Davide Mainas and Nicolo Ciraci. The screenshot above demonstrates the use of color changes with Chip.

3. DoNotDisturb - FREE

You’re laying down comfortably on your bed, about to fall asleep – all of a sudden a notification fires off on your iPhone, which is laying on the nightstand next to your bed and disrupts you from dozing off. Does this sound familiar? It happens all too often to several people. Are you about to delete some of your Facebook friends because they keep commenting back and forth on your photo and keep blowing up your iPhone with notifications? If you want peace and quiet at night when you’re sleeping or you don’t want to be bothered when you are doing something important, then Rudolf Lichtner has a nice free jailbreak tweak for you, dubbed DoNotDisturb.

4. VertaSwitch - FREE

Apple’s multitasking includes some pretty nice animations for when you switch between one application and another. Unforunately, they don’t give you any options for how the animation should look. At least on Mac OS X, Apple gives you the ability to change the animations for how windows should be minimized. Well now, a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed VertaSwitch by iOS developer PrimeCode gives you the ability to have a different multitasking animation.

5. VolumeColor - FREE

A lot of themes and tweaks change the appearance many different features of iOS, but a new jailbreak tweak dubbed VolumeColor by iOS developers PrimeCode and CoolStar allows you to go a step further and change the color of your Volume HUD (heads up display) from a list of pre-defined colors. The appearance of the Volume HUD when the color is changed is illustrated by the screenshot examples above.

6. Informator for ActionMenu - FREE

It is a well-known fact that some of the information on your iOS device is difficult to get to and navigating through your Settings application to find some of it is like walking through a maze. Luckily, a new ActionMenu plugin dubbed Informator for ActionMenu by iOS developer McNight is now available in the Cydia store for free. This new plugin will make sharing or discovering your iOS device information much easier than before.

7. AutoProtect - FREE

While the iOS pass code system can be quite secure as long as people don’t see you type it in, it still becomes a pain having to enter it when you’re in a safe situation where there is no chance of anyone getting into your iOS device. A new free jailbreak tweak dubbed AutoProtect by iOS developer FlloTouch will make the pass code system more intelligent so you don’t have to enter it at every waking moment of your life that you try to use your iOS device.
