pod2g has just tweeted that it will still take him "some weeks" to release a user friendly tool for his untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.

He has also mentioned that he doesn't plan to release a beta version.

pod2g had revealed earlier in the week that his untethered jailbreak works on iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1. Earlier today, he also confirmed that it works on iPad 3 running iOS 5.1 and even posted a video of the untethered iPad 3 on iOS 5.1 on his blog.

pod2g just tweeted:

ETA for 5.1 jailbreak: look at my previous tweets. Some weeks away to have a nice, user friendly tool. No beta, sorry, even for $1,000,000.

pod2g has clarified that since his untethered jailbreak works on iPhone 4 and iPad 3, it should work with other iOS 5.1 devices like iPhone 4S and iPad 2 as well. But it may not work with Apple TV 3.

pod2g plans to stabalize the payload and then use try his untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.1.1 that was released by Apple earlier in the week.

If his untethered jailbreak works on iOS 5.1.1 then we are assuming that he will release a user friendly tool for his untethered jailbreak that works with iOS 5.1.1.
