By now you must have already unlocked your iPhone using the new SAM unlocking solution, then now you need to save the activation tickets for future use. The original method is quite complicated, fortunately, the iPhone Dev-Team has updated RedSn0w to easily save iPhone unlock tickets.

redsn0w 0.9.10b8 adds the ability to backup arbitrary directories or files from your device into a zip file on your Mac or PC. The new button is Extras->Even More->Backup and it requires your device to be jailbroken with the afc2 service enabled (most jailbreaks include that). By default it will backup your activation records from /var/root/Library/Lockdown, which is useful for everyone taking advantage of today's SAM unlock using Loktar_Sun's trick

You can download the new version of RedSn0w here:

Backup Activation Ticket With RedSn0w 0.9.10b8

Step One

Download the latest version of RedSn0w

Double click to extract the downloaded archive.

Step Two

Launch the RedSn0w application from within the extracted folder.

Step Three

Choose Extras from the main menu.

Step Four

Choose Even More from the extras menu.

Step Five

Choose Backup from the even more menu.

Step Six

Ensure your path to backup is /var/root/Library/Lockdown, connect your iPhone to the computer via USB, and click OK.

**If you get a backup failed message you will need to open Cydia and install the afc2add package from the System section.

Step Seven

Your Lockdown folder will now be saved to the RedSn0w folder.

Step Eight

Copy this archive somewhere for safe keeping!

RedSn0w will now create the backup of your activation ticket in a timestamped .zip file that will appear wherever RedSn0w was launched from. Just like the previous how to guide mentioned, keep in mind that if you plan on using multiple SIM cards you should repeat this method on each one.

And if you are confident enough to be a skilled user, you can check out the original method to backup your iPhone’s activation ticket.
