Siri, the virtual assistant introduced with iOS 5 and exclusive to the iPhone 4S, has already become a household name. This is not only due to the iPhone’s huge success and its mainstream acceptance, but also for videos like the ones you see below – clever spoofs and parodies featuring the software.

This list is inspired by the release of the first video featured, the short film Psycho Siri. Enjoy!

Psycho Siri.

A guy finds an iPhone 4S and takes it home, only to discover that Siri may not be as benevolent as she may first seem. It’s a horror/sci-fi hybrid and particularly notable due to the great special effects.

Siri: The Horror Movie.

This is a spoof trailer for another Siri horror movie, but unlike Psycho Siri, its tongue is planted firmly in its cheek.  All the old cliches are there – creepy fairground, grizzled cop and a shower scene – plus some great references to other horror movies (love The Shining shot). Lots of fun!

Apple Scotland.

We leave the movies for the TV screens, with a spoof commercial for Apple Scotland, highlighting the problems Siri can have with regional accents. The script is sweary fun, but the real genius line is right at the close of the video.

ARNI.

This parody of Siri introduces an alternative assistant by the name of ARNI, and of course, it’s Arnold Schwarzenegger. In all honesty, the ad isn’t all that funny, however it’s worth watching due to the use of Arnie’s ‘stop whining’ quote from Kindergarten Cop. If only Siri could say that!

Siri Argument.

This is from College Humor, and is still the best Siri ad parody. The script is sharp and funny, plus the acting is great. Siri’s voice is also nearly spot-on, which is where most rivals fall down. Excellent stuff.
