Pandora War was a an interesting tower defense game, basic on the legend of Pandora's box. The semi-realistic hand-drawn graphic makes it like a Greek epic, while the mythical and dark tones depicts all about the disaster after the forbidden box was opened.
You have to manifest your own forces and magical powers to keep the enemy away from your temple, also you can created weapon-based castle defense title with mercenaries.
Once the battle starts, enemies gather around, you need to Tilt to scroll the game's vast battlefield. You have the authority to choose the specific option of magic or units you require before every round starts. You use magical powers by various gestures including tapping and rubbing the screen, and the units must be dragged in to a specific 'deployment zone'. It requires lightning fast reflexes when the spawning horde rolling over them, although quickly deploying units is extremely difficult. Your magic powers will be upgraded as you passed levels, and mercenaries units will be upgraded or purchased as well.
There are three levels difficulty for different users. It hard to get progress, ensure no scrap of gold is wasted as in that case you need to replay. It's hard to be satisfied after seeing the losses you continually incur and need to pay for, while balancing exactly what you need is a continual frustrating challenge. Hard to recommend except for the most dedicated of castle-defense fans.
The special effects vary from simple explosions to ornate whirlwinds, the sounds effects are awesome as well. Unfortunately, the developer didn't explored the iPad version, I would scream if I played it on an iPad.
